Yorkshire Orthopaedic Basic Surgical Skills

This one day course is aimed at junior Orthopaedic surgical trainees and imparts useful knowledge, technical and clinical skills to help them deliver clinical care to patients and build on their training.

The FY2s and Core Trainees taking part in this course will learn and develop skills including management of acute dislocation, interpreting x-rays, plastering, suturing of tendons, applying Thomas Splint, trauma resus, open fracture management, arthroscopic skills, plating and K-wiring of fractures.
