Advanced Critical Care Practitioner’s & Senior Trainees from ICU & Anaesthesia

Aimed at

CT1, CT2, ST1-4 doctors. Healthcare professionals working in the emergency department, acute care, ITU, vascular and critical care. Trainees in the Yorkshire & the Humber region will be prioritised over external delegates.

Delegates will be shown a video and presentation at the beginning of the course. Using a manikin there will be a demonstration of inserting a central line with ultrasound guidance before candidates are allowed to practice the complete procedures.

This course is approved by Health Education Yorkshire and the Humber. Delegates will be supplied with a certificate of attendance upon completion of the course. There will also be a specific DOPS (Direct Observation of Procedural Skill) form completed relating to central line insertion. In addition, there will be a short MCQ assessment at the end of the session.

I feel more confident in the Central Line insertion procedure and willing to attempt under supervision. The practical skill session and catering was especially good, with content delivered in good timing.
