Sharing Best Practice in Undergraduate Medical Education

In the face of unprecedented challenges in delivering undergraduate medical education, NHS Trusts across West Yorkshire have provided excellent opportunities for students to develop their knowledge, clinical skills, and professional practice, as well as enhancing student support provision through innovative work and projects.

MEET UP provides a platform to share best practice, network, and collaborate with colleagues across the West Yorkshire region, so that we can all continue to provide the best educational opportunities for medical students in a sustainable way.

The Conference will involve a mixture of presentations, workshops, breakout rooms with topical discussions, posters, and networking, all of which will be highly relevant to all involved in undergraduate medical education across the region.

MEET UP is absolutely free, and lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Abstracts invited

Abstract submissions are now open!

MEET UP aims to provide a forum for the sharing of best practice, so we would welcome any abstracts detailing any work done to further the education of medical undergraduates. Topics may include (but are not limited to):

Innovative teaching programmes/methods
Transitions within medical education
Student support
Equality, diversity, and inclusion
Technology Enhanced Learning
Feedback

Abstracts will be considered for posters, presentations, and workshop sessions.

Posters: A1 sized summaries of work done and/or research relating to undergraduate medical education.
Presentations: 10 minute presentation + 5 minutes for questions.
Workshops: Exact timings TBC but 45 min – 1 hour long sessions focussing on tips for best practice and implementing innovations.
