Obstetric Anaesthesia Course Overview

Yesterday, Thursday 15 June saw a return of the Obstetric Anaesthesia Crisis Resource Management course at Pinderfields Hospital.

With a faculty ratio of 1:1, consisting of Consultant Anaesthetists, Theatre Registrars and ODPs, the course format was a mix of didactic teaching, simulation and group feedback sessions. Each delegate took part in a scenario each which were a mix of routine and complex situations faced in the Theatre and/or the Labour Ward. Other delegates watched on and participated in group feedback after the scenario had finished.

The scenarios felt real and all the faculty ‘actors’ made it as realistic as possible.
