Hello, my name is Andrew Jackson and I am the Director of Medical Education for Mid-Yorkshire Hospitals Trust. Our Medical Education department provides educational and pastoral support for undergraduate and postgraduate medical trainees within the Trust and aims to ensure that the training here is of the highest quality.
I work with a superb and dedicated team who put the trainees and students at the very core of all that they do and spend a considerable portion of their time ensuring and supporting the well-being of our junior doctors. We have invested heavily in Simulation training and in training-the-trainers as we believe these provide the best way of ensuring patient focussed care of the highest standard.

Clinically I am a Consultant Histopathologist and have been in that job for nearly 26 years, based predominantly at Dewsbury Hospital, but working across the Trust in diagnostic cancer meetings.
