I have worked in Medical Education for just over 11 years starting off on Reception in Trust HQ.  I then moved onto Appraisal Co-ordinator 2 days a week and foundation Co-ordinator 2 days a week. I am now solely the Foundation Co-ordinator. My role involves first point of contact for the foundation trainees, organising their mandatory training days, keeping them on track with their Horus portfolio to make sure they are signed off at ARCP and can progress with their training. I also work and liaise with the Foundation Training Programme Directors and our Matron for Medical Education to ensure our trainees’ needs are met and their wellbeing is in check.
